Anyone want to use this regarding such topic.
Here my sister has not changed the oil in her 2010 Camry for 2 years so I said here bring it around and I will change it for her. So she said that her friend has a 2017 car that is blowing smoke real bad, with low mileage. Well I said you are lucky you have a 2010 car or else it would be buggered as well, as they do not like it if you go past the Service date. 15,000KM is way too long in such a car with low friction rings driven around town, with short trips for sure. The book say so as well but people get it in their head 15,000KM is the deal. So one has to watch out for such cars nowadays. Not to mention real thin oil's nowadays is nonsense and causes more problems than you can point a stick at. Anything under 10w 30 is BS in QLD I would keep away from going any lower. Such to thin a oils can carbon up the pistons creating problems. |
