My daughter just moved from one end of the country to the other, to a place where she knows of only a couple of people. She was keen to mske friends, so she jumped online and found a Facebook page for girls only in the area. Just after she joined, one of the members posted asking if anyone was interested in a catch up. My daughter went along (I rode shotgun and sat in the car until I knew everything was legit and then left her). She had a great time, met some wonderful girls in a similar position to her and now has really clicked with one girl in particular.
