For some reason I can't quote prev post to reply to what may be done about the "sticky" feeling on surfaces.
I had success a few years ago by rubbing talcum powder onto a "sticky" laptop case.
Lasted for at least a couple of years until I sold the laptop.
Might be worth a try. It certainly won't damage anything.
