The engine number on 711M blocks is at the front of the head, right where you found it. Earlier 691M blocks had the number on the side from recollection. You've answered your own question as you have matched it to the chassis number and 711M blocks are the best 1600 blocks, as used in Formula Fords. Cheers, Terry
