GovCo is running through the numbers, it will come down to:

a) quarantine most the country for weeks/months and emerge with 95-99% of the population virus free

or

b) no quarantine and have 100% of the population with the virus

I think you may be able to work out which option. ScoMo is already socialising 6 months disruption.

This will mean only absolutely essential work will continue: defence force, groceries, pharmacies, supply transport, health care, electricity, water, sanitation, oil refining, telecommunications-internet, Netflix, etc. Everyone else stays home, and hopefully many can work from home.

GovCo will work out some sort of rostering system for people to essentials from the local supermarkets e.g surnames A-F on Monday. G-J on Tuesday and so on. Expect fuel rationing.

The economic impact is more than severe.

Some unanswered questions. Many people will have no income and no savings, how will people pay for food, mortgages, rents, car loans, water, electricity etc?
Maybe let people take 25% from their super accounts - who knows?

It will be difficult enough to bring the economy in with a soft landing, re-starting it will interesting.
