You don't have to. But that's not the name of the game. The message is not targeting Australians or its close allies. They are trying to discredit us in the eyes of those sitting on the fence (think Pacific Islands and ASEAN) and will probably use it as propaganda with our "enemies".
Really, is it that different to some of the stuff that comes out of Trump and Pompeo? They are playing the same game. Don't fall for it!
