Firstly, they're cheap. Secondly most people buying in that market segment, wouldn't know a good car if it bit them in the ****.
But that's the reality of the market. Most people want an iphone dock with wheels.

Umm, you do understand that Kia is, by definition, the cheaper, deliberately down-market brand of Hyundai, often deliberately using superseded Hyundai components.
