Bit more to why Corolla beats Focus in sales.

On the Ford side Powershift turned buyers away from Ford.

On the Toyota side Hybrid Corolla sells like hot cakes and a lot to fleets.
Ford doesnt chase fleet sales as I understand.
Corolla offers a wider range of models
Sedan
Manual option
Hybrid option
Hatch


Ford only offer auto hatch and no hybrid.

And then there is the Toyota reputation.
Fords brand is tarnished unless it’s Ranger/Everest/Mustang
