I always change Oil and filter on the FG every 6 months as a high percentage of its trips are under 10 km. Routinely use a full synthetic. The first hot-cold cycle starts the clock ticking on the usable life of the oil. Car averages around 4,000 km every 6 months.
Same oil and filter change interval with my Chrysler 300 SRT which is lucky to travel 500-700 km every 6 months.
