Yeah,the reason is because the hinges wear and let the door sag.People then use the handle to lift the door to,open.If the hinges are adjusted properly the door unlocks easily and handles don’t get broken.I also used to weld a piece of steel between the 2 ends of the handle to strenthen them and help spread the load
