Which scan tool ?

Hi guys
I’m looking at purchasing a scan tool to use predominantly on the AU but hopefully on the SZ Territory to if need be, I’m a noob when it comes to these things so which brands etc do people recommend
And what if at any different types etc should I be looking for?
Budget is with in reason of a few hundred if it is a good quality product, I don’t mind paying a little extra for quality
