Bet the thing spat the clutch and flywheel out the side of the gearbox, through the exhaust and fuel lines.
It's not a DCT. It's a traditional auto, but it differs in that it uses a wet clutch for take off.

Could very well be that clutch exploding though.

This article explains how they work. But the 7 speed has been replaced by the 9 speed now.
