Yes Australia has dropped the ball when it comes to PNG and the rest of the Pacific. They are really not happy with our climate change policy as is a lot of the world.
When it comes to PNG specifically we give a ****load of money and rightly expect to know how that is going to be spent and what oversight there is.
It was only recently we broke with this policy and gave a concessional loan of nearly half a billion dollars for direct funding largely seen to curry favour.
Australia really has no choice here if we want to keep China at arms length because China is all to happy to spend up big.
