Look at some of these photos of EJ Potter, he was known as 'Michigan Madman'. The photo of his V8 bike is cool. It looks quite compact seen from one side of the bike, but on the opposite side is a chain drive that sticks out quite far. Not very practical.

I saw Potter in 1969 - early 70's at Castlereagh Drags,
He named his bikes "Widowmaker" plus a number, I am sure he was on "Widowmaker 7" when I saw him, he was nuts,and it was a full run not a show run, don't remember his time but it was single digit!
Glad you liked the Ford bike,wish I could spend a day with the maker just chatting about stuff,there's always more to it than a picture.
