Probably..... It may not be that noticeable though unless you are really pushing on purpose. Certainly the tyre compound will affect the grip level just as much as the narower tyre itself. However, tyre manufacturers do their best to maintain good lateral grip from the tyre while still lowering their rolling resistance.
