The Saudi Oil Minister recently stated that it was in OPEC's interests to drop the price of crude, there is no value for them to see alternatives become widely available or more importantly become viable.

The Stone age did not end because the world ran out of stone, same principle with Oil.

While you sound like a rational sort of person, I almost fell off my chair when I read 'democracy' in your statement!

So you believe Israel and the US are our saviors while the evil empire that is the oil barons are hell bent on spreading their values in the hope we embrace Islam?

Phhleeease. My eyes are not wide shut. I'd prefer to look at real issues rather than take the propaganda sold to us by the Americans. Yes, you did link an American article, in case you didn't realise?
