5 years out of my battery!

Hi there,
I finally replaced my original factory battery in my XR8 last week after getting over five years life out of it. I'm quite surprised it lasted this long, maybe i'm used to the XF, ELs i've had in the past where I was lucky to get anything more than two - three years life from them.
Anyone else out there had a good run out of their AU factory batteries or is five years a standard life these days??
